18th Annual Crawdad Days Festival


HARRISON, AR – The 18th Annual Crawdad Days Festival will be held on May 16th and May17th in Harrison, Arkansas. Returning this year will be the car show held on the historic Harrison downtown square. Cars of various makes and models will be on display around the square.

Kicking off the annual event Friday evening, May 16th will be a concert at the Minnie Harris Stage by the World Famous Platters beginning at 8:00 pm. Opening for the group will be local artist, Cody Slaughter, known for his impeccable Elvis tribute beginning at 7:00 pm. Both concerts are free and open to the public.

Saturday morning begins with the annual 5K Fun Run continuing with events throughout the day; cardboard boat race, activities at the children’s stage, musical acts at the Minnie Harris stage, horseshoe contest, and the highly anticipated crawdad eating contest. Food and craft vendors will be available surrounding the Harrison Lake area and also in the downtown area selling craft items and fresh crawfish.

Returning to Harrison for the Saturday evening concert will be Hayseed Dixie performing at the Minnie Harris stage at 8:45 pm. and this concert is also open and free to the public. Opening for Hayseed Dixie will be Jed Clampit at 5:30 pm, followed by Riverbilly at 7:00 pm.
