Replaces the STS and DTS sedans to make way for Cadillac's new flagship, based on the Buick LaCrosse platform. The XTS goes on sale this spring in a choice of front- or all-wheel drive, and powered by a 3.6-liter, 300-horsepower V-6 with six-speed automatic. No V-8. Get over it. The big-is-better, 500-horsepower Caddy days are gone, as are tailfins and wide whitewall tires. XTS will feature adaptive cruise control, rear cross traffic alert so you don't back into something or someone, and even a "Safety Alert" driver's seat that, based on input from vision sensors around the vehicle, will vibrate on the side of the car on which a collision is possible. Also offers CUE.
