Mary Moloney

Mary has been with KSPR since June 2011 as a reporter. Watch her during the week on KSPR News at 4, 6, and 10 Monday through Friday.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, the daughter of a television reporter and a property developer, Mary Moloney grew up in Boca Raton Florida and attended all Florida schools.

Mary graduated from Florida State University and was awarded her
B.S. degree in Mass Media Studies from the College of Communications. While attending FSU she worked for the state-wide Sun Sports Network as an on air reporter for Florida State University athletic events and features including FSU Football, Baseball and Golf.

Upon graduation in 2007 Mary worked freelance in documentary television production for Information Television Network in Boca Raton, as script writer, voice talent and associate producer.

Hired by WSFL TV in Miami/Ft. Lauderdale in March 2009 as a producer of The Morning Show, Mary supplemented her supervisory duties with spot work as on air traffic reporter and voice talent on several major commercial accounts.

Mary then worked as a General Assignment Reporter for CBS affiliate KAUZ in Wichita Falls, Texas. While there, she learned to love two-stepping and can even teach a line dance or two!

Mary has been comfortable in front of cameras and live audiences since winning a nation wide speaking contest in Los Angeles as an eighth grader. Being a reporter comes naturally to Mary. Besides following in her Mother’s footsteps, she has an uncle who is an anchor in Memphis.
