Meet Mike Scott

Mike is back in his hometown after 3 years at KTTC-TV in Rochester, Minnesota. He, his wife Shannon, and cat Mr. K are excited about returning to the Ozarks and starting a family.

Mike is a Willard native, and 2004 Missouri State University graduate. In college Mike and his wife Shannon met playing handball, where they later won a national championship with the Bears. A lot has changed in the Queen City over the last three years, including a big addition to the sporting world.

"I always wanted a minor league baseball team in Springfield; especially a Cardinals affiliate. Shortly after we moved up north that became a reality, so now it's great to be back where fans truly love the game."

Mike looks forward to covering the states pro teams, but plans on bringing an ultra "local" attitude to KSPR.

"If you want to hear about the Yankees or Lakers, you better watch ESPN. I'm going to bring viewers as much high school, college, and local amateur sports as you can handle."

From basketball to handball Mike enjoys all sports, so if you have any great story ideas just email him at MScott@KSPR.com.

"I couldn't be happier to return to Springfield and I hope to stay for a loooong time."
