Leigh Moody became the main anchor at KSPR in December of 2010.

Before moving to the Ozarks, Leigh anchored at Bay News 9 in Tampa, Florida for almost ten years. She grew up in an Air Force family and has lived all over the country, but spent most of her childhood in the Tampa Bay area.

Leigh's broadcasting career has taken her from Florida, to South Carolina, to Michigan and back again. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Central Florida, Leigh joined the reporting staff at WKMG-TV in Orlando. From there, she moved on to become weekend anchor at WCSC-TV in Charleston, SC, then main anchor at WEYI-TV in Flint, MI before joining Bay News 9.

Leigh has won numerous awards during her career, most recently as part of the KSPR team's Edward R. Murrow 'Best Newscast in the Nation.'

Leigh is a passionate animal advocate and founded the Leigh's Lost and Found franchise and the Leigh's Lost and Found Facebook page in March of 2012. She partners with Springfield/Greene county animal control to help reunite or re-home lost, abandoned and stray animals in the Ozarks. She also spends a lot of her free time volunteering and doing personal appearances for animal charities.

She also has a large brood of her own to take care of at home, including two rescue dogs (one of which she found through the Leigh’s Lost and Found Facebook page), two rescue cats and a guinea pig.

You can usually catch Leigh each weeknight at 4, 6 and 10.

There are currently no severe weather alerts.
